Ive been trying to find a way to review this one. It has taken me a couple days to wrap my head around it because this one was out there in left field and left me reeling. Talk about twisted and messing with your head.....
Ryan Capshaw is as twisted as they come. But can I say, I loved him?? I dont care what that makes me look like, he was bone evil and still LOVED him!
There was nothing "normal" about this book. There was not a normal HEA, not a normal plot, not a normal anything. Just when you think you have it figured out, there is a bend in the road that comes at you without warning and leaves you wondering about the mindset of the author.
This book was unlike anything Ive read, and unlike anything else I have read from the author, and this reviewer hopes the author comes up with more like it. I love a good book that is out of the box and/or has a non traditional HEA. And Snatch delivered in all areas.
Twisted, mind boggling, cant read fast enough, page turning, wth did I just read?? That about sums it up........ Snatch left me wondering -- what would I do?? If I was in the same situation, what would I do. Because as out there as the book was, I could imagine it actually happening and I have decided that the author may just make the perfect serial killer!!!
What a ride this one was. I love a good MC read. They are up there in my top favorite reads, and the author has never disappointed me, and has once again, left me wanting more.
Navarro -- ummm, yes please. I will take one just like him, all rough and tough, bad a**, alpha biker, with a soft spot only his girl gets to see. My favorite kind of alpha.
Peyton -- perfect heroine. The kind I love! Sassy, spunky, take charge, take no mess, stands up for herself, yet knows when to let things be. Doesn't try to change her man and lets him be who he is. LOVED her!
The thing I like best about the authors MC books is the raw and gritty of a real MC is there, without being too over the top for shock value and not so fluffy you want to close the kindle. I always wonder whether or not he has ever ridden with an MC, bc he nails it each and every time, and Hard was right there with the rest of them. Im still holding out for Ripp, but the MC guys still always leave me panting for more.
Hard touched on some sensitive areas. No, Im not going to tell you, you have to read for yourself. You know I am not a spoiler girl. But I will say, these area's were real. The were raw, they were gritty, and they were written well. As a survivor, I could feel the emotion. And I love a book that makes me feel. I want to feel like Iam in the story, and that is one thing I love best about the authors work. One reason he is an auto one click buy for me. I dont even read the synopsis anymore, I just buy, bc I know Im not going to be let down. I know Iam in for a thrill ride, and Hard did not let me down.
Gah.... where is book 2???? What a ride this one was. Talk about twists and turns, surprises and wth moments!!! More.... I neeeeed more. And fair warning -- it ends on a cliffhanger!!!!
This is one of those books I find hard to review bc everything I really want to say will give some aspect away and you know I am OCD about that. So, Im going to proceed with caution. This review may not make alot of sense until you read the book --- and you NEED to read the book!!!
If you have issues with rape and sex abuse you need to stay away from this one. There is a lot of brutal scenes that make you want to jump into the book and throttle someone. There were times I actually felt my heart rip out and ache for them.
The main character is a perfect Anti Hero -- I dont care if he is a sociopath, I want him! He has made my list of favorite book boyfriends, I LOVED him. And I know I keep saying "him" but in an effort to not spoil anything, Im not going to tell you his name.... seriously, it would be spoilerish!!!
Sapphire -- our main lady. Loved her. She has an inner beauty that shines through in the darkness, and in the dark she finds herself. Again, Iam at a loss here, Im not wanting to give anything away so its hard to really give her justice. But she was so amazing. Absolutely amazing.
This book did not go one single place I thought it would. Just when I thought I had it figured out, the author would hit the ball into left field and I would find my jaw on the floor. I loved it.
The author did an amazing job of keeping you totally confused and then bringing it all together. Once she brought it all together, I found myself stunned because I was not expecting where she went. And it was always seamless. This book ebbed and flowed so well that when I got to the last page I wanted to throw my iPad because I didnt even see the end coming. And then she leaves you hanging -- literally. Talk about a cliffhanger.... I wanted to scream, and now I need book 2.
I can not wait for the next book. Iam dying to see how this entire scenario plays out. I know it wont be anywhere near what I am thinking, and you now what?? I LOVE that!!! Bring on the next mind bender!!!!
